The Degeneration-Morphological and Functional-of Peripheral Blood Leucocytes
Nam Sang-Ho

Abstract
The reactions of the old Tuberculin and the plasma of far advanced lung tuberculosis patients on the leucocytes have been studied in connection with the Degeneration of Peripheral Blood Leucocytes of lung tuberculosis patients, and the following results are observed.
1) According to the extent of seriousness of sickness, exsudation and feverishness etc., lung tuberculosis patients are leucocytosised in their peripheral blood and the percentage of neutrophilic cells become increarsed, whereas that of eosinophilic cells decreased. When the patients are more seriously fevered, considerable shadows of nuclei are produced in blood.
2) The Leucocyte Degeneration in stocked blood of tuberculosis, or rather the Degeneation of nuclei especially is accelerated in both neutrophilic leucocytes and lymphocytes: in accordance with the extent of sickness severity. Even with fevered patients it, also, accelerated, with the tendency of being more accelerative in the lymphocyes.
3) The old Tuberculin is toxic in leucocytes and causes remarkable acceleration in degeneration of neutrophilic leucocytes in peripheral blood of a healthy human being, but it causes less in that of slight or moderate patients. As to the degeneration of lymphocyte nuclei with healthy human being, it is accelerated remarkably and with the slight or moderate patients it, too, accelerated, little more remarkably comparing with the case of neutrophilic leucocytes.
4) In the blood of a seriously exsuded and highly fevered lung tuberculosis patient, there exists toxic substance, which is harmful for the leucocytessimilarly in the case of Tuberculin.
